Today, we're announcing the launch of Cursor, a data search and analytics hub that delivers a unified search experience across all of your company's datasets.

It's no secret that companies are generating data at a staggering rate – more in the past two years than ever before. Thanks to advancements in cloud computing, companies no longer need to operate their own data centers or purchase expensive software to make this a reality. However, this rise in the ease of creating and storing data has developed the need for a new skill set inside today's organizations: data understanding.

We learned about this need during our time at LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Pandora, where we harnessed the power of data-driven decision-making. From product decisions to sales planning, we used everything at our disposal to ensure we were making the right choice. However, as the organization scaled globally, the breadth of data exploded, making answering straightforward questions such as, "how many people used our product yesterday?" increasingly complex.

With nearly every business decision today being influenced by data and increasingly larger amounts of it, we saw the need for better and more flexible tools to help companies get the most from their data.

With that in mind, we built Cursor.

Starting with just a single user, companies of any size can quickly gain insights by starting to build a central repository to help make informed decisions and find answers to the data questions they grapple with on a daily basis (e.g., "What was our revenue in Q4 2016?").

With Cursor, you'll be able to:

  • Search: Cursor searches across a company's SQL queries, database metadata, and existing business intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, and more) to help pinpoint where the best answers live.
  • Execute: Cursor integrates a modern query editor that works with both on-premise and cloud-based databases.
  • Collaborate: By connecting business users and data practitioners, Cursor helps bridge the communication gap inside large enterprises while creating an organic history for future reference.

We've received an incredibly positive response during our closed beta and are already being used by employees at great companies like Apple, Atlassian, Incedo, LinkedIn, and Slack, and we're excited for you to try it out next. To help bring our vision to life, we've raised $2 million in seed funding from Toba Capital and other investors.

We're excited for you to start using Cursor. To get started, visit
